The Visseiro Technology
The patented sensor of the Visseiro technology works with highly sensitive sensor elements integrated into the seat cushion. Embedding these sensors into a viscoelastic gel element ensures a not only a high comfort, the sensor technology is furthermore imperceptible and completely protected from moisture. Thus the system is always protected against a small mishap.
The adaptive algorithm calculates various vital and movement parameters using only the raw measurement signal. For this purpose, the signal is modulated in both time and frequency domain and divided into different observation ranges. Each individual parameter can be extracted from these signals, even when hardly visible to the naked Human eye. The system automatically adapts to different user types and for example takes the height or weight of different people into account.
The elaborated vital and movement parameters are stored in the Visseiro Cloud, and can be viewed individually at any time. In addition, your data is automatically analyzed for deviations and irregularities. This artificial intelligence takes your individual situation into account and reacts adaptively to changing conditions, as for example a new medication or diet.
Thus, you are constantly informed, and will not experience any unwanted surprises during your next visit to the doctor.

The technology can be combined with existing structures by using sensors of variable size. In real time you can implicitely measure vital signs without direct skin contact. This even works through clothing.
Which vital signs?
Currently, the VISSEIRO technology measures heartbeat, heart rate variability, respiratory rate and amplitude with very high data accuracy. Further vital signs are under development.
How can the VISSEIRO system help?
By using contactless, long-term measurements during daytime the system can immediately detect critical changes in vital signs. These can then be used for proactive alarm and induce adaptation of the patient’s treatment plan.
What are the advantages of implicit measurement?
The implicit measurement is particularly well suited for contactless long-term monitoring of physiological vital parameters during resting periods. The advantages of the method compared to an ECG or pulse oxymetry are, that there is no direct contact between human and sensor. As a result, the daily routine and comfort for the user remain unaffected, while at the same time long and short-term trends of the vital parameters are recognized.
